ZTAuth* and PIC: From Research to Ground Truth

Earlier articles on ZTAuth* explored different directions and ideas. This post marks the starting point of the stable model: ZTAuth* as governance, PIC as authority.

Over the past couple of years I have written several articles touching on ZTAuth* and PIC. Reading them today, some point in different directions, different angles, different emphasis, different terminology. That is a natural part of how a model evolves when you are building and thinking at the same time.

How the Model Has Settled

The direction is now clear.

PIC (Provenance Identity Continuity) is the authority layer.

ZTAuth* (Zero Trust Auth* Models is the governance layer.

These two roles, authority and governance, are the stable core of the model.

On the Older Articles

Some earlier posts explored ideas that did not survive into the final model, or used terminology that has since shifted. Nothing dramatic, just the normal cost of thinking in public. I am leaving them as they are, as an honest record of the process.

What changes from here is that this post marks the starting point of the stable model. Going forward, PIC and ZTAuth* will be built on this foundation.
